Vodafone Idea Users: Here’s a list of revised plans

Vodafone Idea plans have changed recently. A lot of new plans have been revised for prepaid customers. The new plans do not have as many additional benefits. The plans have been changed in order to factor in higher costs. Vodafone Idea’s financials have been put under stress and the company would need liquidity in order to clear the dues. The company has recently rebranded itself to unite the customers of Vodafone India and Idea Cellular. The two firms had merged in August 2018 but were serving their customers separately. Let us take a look at the plans that have been revised recently.

What has changed in the plans?

The new Vodafone Idea plans have changed recently. Some of the benefits have been removed. ZEE5 subscription was available under all the prepaid plans. However, this has changed recently. ZEE5 Premium – an over-the-top (OTT) platform is now being offered in selected plans only. The plans that offer this are Rs. 405, Rs. 595, Rs. 795 and Rs. 2595. Rs. 405 offers 90 GB of data for 28 days. All the other plans have a daily data cap of 2 GB with validities of 56 days, 84 days, and 365 days respectively. All the plans allow users to send free 100 SMS per day and make unlimited calls.

The plans that previously offered 2 GB of data per day now offer double that cap. Also, those plans are priced separately now and cost lower than the ones that offer ZEE5 Premium. Users who do not require a free OTT subscription can use those plans and get a good volume of data for work from home. Rs. 299, Rs. 449 and RS. 699 offers 4GB per day for 28, 56, and 84 days respectively. Rs. 355 add-on plan now offers ZEE5 premium and 50 GB of data for a validity of 28 days.

What are some of the revamped offers now?

Two prepaid plans have been priced Rs. 109 and Rs. 169 and are available in the Delhi circle now. Rs. 109 will offer the customers 1 GB of total data. The plan has a validity of 20 days. Unlimited calling benefits are present with this plan and 300 SMS can be sent as well. This plan is among the few Vodafone Idea plans that offer a free subscription to ZEE5. Vodafone Play services are offered too.

Rs. 169 also has a validity of 20 days. This plan offers 1 GB of the daily data cap. Calls are unlimited and 100 free SMS can be sent every day. This plan also offers a free subscription of ZEE5 and Vodafone Play.

Among the revised Vodafone Idea plans, Rs. 46 allows customers 100 local night minutes with a validity of 28 days. The calls can be made between 11 PM and 6 AM.
